Want to make your life richer, fuller, deeper–and make friends along the way? Get involved with The MAC! Think of The MAC as a warm, glowing bubble of community arts flourishing on Poyntz out west of City Park. This is the place our neighbors go to consume and create art. I know jumping in to make art can be very intimidating, but The MAC is setup especially to lay low those psychic walls we’ve built around our inner artist. So, get out there! Pottery seems like a fun place to start. Get your hands in that gooey clay and spin that wheel. If you like how it turns out, great! If not, you still had the chance to imagine you’re Demi Moore doing sensual art with a ghost (don’t worry, everyone else will be imagining the same).
Performing arts are big at The MAC too, with an impressive slate of events. The tickets are affordable and the performances are inspiring (or terrifying, or hilarious, or charming–ya know, whatever our neighbor-artists are going for). See their site for more on all The MAC has to offer.
