The Flint Hills Discovery Center is a high-quality natural science center that’s a part of the redeveloped Blue Earth Plaza downtown just past the IMAX.  Manhattan is the capital city of the unique and important ecosystem and landscape that is the Flint Hills, and the FHDC is it’s capitol building.  The Center’s film “Tallgrass Prairie: Tides of Time” is an multi-sensory thrill for the whole family, the kids will love the play area on the mezzanine, and the upstairs rotating exhibit will keep everyone coming back for more.  Families, get the annual pass.  The price is worth it just for the warm and dry play area to take the kidos during the winter.
